Dr. Alagar Ramanujam, a theoretical physicist was formerly Principal and Professor of Physics at NGM college, Pollachi, Tamilnadu, India. His work regarding the construction of Dirac- like wave equation for particles of arbitrary spin and his investigation of the possible existence of particles (Tachyons) faster than light form his Ph.D Thesis.

After his retirement, he met Shri Vethathiri Maharishi whose philosophical revelations made a great impact on him. According to him, Maharishi’s identification of the all pervading Space as the primordial source of the Universe and his identification of mind as a wave function will have far reaching implications both in science and philosophy.

This book, according to him, is an attempt to show how the philosophical statements of Maharishi can be used to solve certain fundamental issues regarding the concepts of mass & gravity, remaining still unresolved.

Mr. Vijay Arora was introduced to Vethathiri Maharishi by his father in 1969 when he was a third-year chemical engineering student at IIT Delhi. Inspired by his simplicity and his philosophical teachings, he came to see Maharishi as his mentor and his Guru. Under his guidance, he learnt to harmonize the various facets of his being through formative philosophical discussions, Simplified Kundalini Yoga System of meditation & exercises, and Kaya Kalpa Yoga.

In 1973, Vijay moved to the USA, did graduate studies at both Cornell and Chicago and worked in the petrochemical industry for 35 years.Maharishi visited the USA a few times and stayed with him twice. He cherishes those visits as it allowed for deep conversations on many of the topics covered in this book. Blessed and humbled by his own experiences, he introduced both his children Sarika and Kavi to Maharishi in 2000; they were also initiated into the SKY System. Maharishi’s teachings continue to remain fixtures within his family.

Since 2000, Vijay has associated himself with a small group to translate Maharishi’s philosophical concepts into science. He evinced keen interest in developing a formula for the mass of a body from the philosophical concepts of Maharishi. His colleagues were an inspiration to him to work on the cosmological implications of the Maharishi’s philosophy of Space. Along with them, he has contributed to bringing Vethathiri Maharishi’s concept of Consciousness and Mind into the current cosmological studies.

Currently living in New Jersey, USA, Vijay is enjoying retired life with his wife Anjali, children, and grandchildren.
