Mani M. Nagasubramanian is a pioneering force in retail brand design and spatial storytelling, whose multi-faceted career spans fashion, architecture, film, art, and academia. As founder of RDandM (since 1994), he has redefined how India experiences brands in physical spaces across retail, hospitality, and corporate sectors. He launched India’s first Retail Design and Visual Merchandising division at Titan Industries, shaping iconic brands like Tanishq and World of Titan. A global trailblazer, Mani was the first Indian to win the International Visual Merchandising Competition (USA, 1993) and is a professional member of the Retail Design Institute, New York. Trained at Fashion Careers College, San Diego, his intellectual journey includes stints at Università Bocconi, University of Michigan, and IIM Ahmedabad, where he is also a guest lecturer. His clients include SWATCH, ITC, Titan, and major banks. An internationally exhibited artist and award-winning participant of the 29th National Exhibition of Contemporary Art (Govt. of India), Mani is also a seasoned speaker, screenwriter, and actor, with roles in acclaimed films like Mudhalvan, Sivaji: The Boss, and Ko, and has directed a documentary on artist K.K.
