Mr. Sarath Kumar Pachayil, an Indian-born aviation criminologist from Kerala, is the son of Mr. Suresh Kumar and Ms. Sherly Suresh. During his extensive career, Mr. Pachayil identified critical inadequacies in conventional air accident investigation methods. Realizing that traditional psychological and criminal investigation approaches were insufficient to uncover the deeper causes behind aviation incidents, he discovered a crucial gap — a “blind spot” in aviation safety research.
