The main theme which can be highlighted may be highlighted as follows: Born in Naihati, 24 PGs West Bengal, on September 15, 1963, my childhood days were spent at Samastipur, Bihar. Then my family was migrated to Burdwan, W.B. at 1968.
After staying at different places of Burdwan in rented houses we could managed to build our own house at Near Nawab Bari, Khaja Anwar Berh, Sripally , Burdwan any staying there and passing a humble life there till date. During this journey I studied at different schools/colleges and Burdwan University in Burdwan itself. After my Masters I joined the Indian School of Mines , Dhanbad, Jharkhand as JRF for a short period under an ONGC project. After that I got an offer from Central Glass & Ceramic Res. Institute (CSIR), Jadavpur Kolkata as Reseach Scholar under the joint guidance of Late Dr. J. Mukerji and Dr. A.S.Sanyal and completed my Ph.D. and Post doctoral works there. Here I joined under a project ARDB (Ministry Of Defence) so also under DRDO (again Min. Of Defence) the later being related to the development of Dome of Missile in which Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was the Head of the project and it is in this context that the later visited our plac and I had the rare occasion to be introduced with him.
Later on I moved to Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Jadavpur to join in an NCML project (Ministry Of Defence, GOI) under the guidance of Proffesor B. Mandal, Head, Polymer Science Unit.
Later on I joined Leadstone Energy Ltd, a typical Privete Concern, situated at Bandel, Hooghly, W.B. as Senior Chemist. After working here for some period I joined Bankura Unnaayani Instt of Engg, colloquially known as Bankura Engg. College, it being under WBUT and later on under MACOUT university. Here I took both theoretical and practical classes in Chemistry in the following streams viz., CSE, IT, ECE and EIE).
After spending for six years I could make a way to got an offer to join the University of Burdwan as one faculty member in the Dept. Of Chemistry. On the very lastday when I was about to leave the Office Supdt. there told me after taking me to an isolated room that our Secretary has a message to convey to you and narrated that the later has requested to continue my service there only at any costAfter a short while of thinking I replied in a negativeand replied, “It is too late”. In spite of some bitter experience during my stay at Bankura, I must admit that it is the Bankura soil which has enriched me with the noble profession of “Teacher” for the first time in my career and I am grateful for it. To be more specific I got the Runner -Up-Trophy as BOLT Teacher Award sponsored jointly by AIR-India and Statesman in a nice occasion at Kolkata which was handed over to me by none other than by Hon’ble Governor of W.B. Mr. Shyamal Sen.
During my stay at Bankura some major incidents in my family occurred I was married to Shilpi and we got, by the grace of God, our little Busan. On the contrary we lost the Husband of my elder Sister, Swapanbabu (Ghosh) so also my Boro Bowdi (Prohati Das (Roy) both at their early ages.
After joining here at Burdwan University my days are going on in routine way and performing my duties as is bestowed on me from time to time. During my teaching career that I have covered so far, i.e. 26 (Twenty six)years, I am proud to state that more than 26 (twenty six) thousands of students {in BUIE there being four streams and eight semesters) so also here at BU 4 (four semesters) to my opinion many of my Hon’ble retired senior faculties could not attain this record.
