Dr. Amreen is a pediatrician and a mother of three young children.
From a very young age, she carried a deep passion for becoming a doctor. She pursued her
MBBS at Gandhi Medical College, where she graduated as the Best Outgoing Student and
earned the distinction of State University Gold Medalist.
Drawn naturally to children and their well-being, she went on to specialize in pediatrics,
completing her MD in Pediatrics at Niloufer Hospital, Hyderabad — a Centre of excellence for
child health.
Life, however, was not just about textbooks and stethoscopes. During her residency, Dr.
Amreen walked through two pregnancies and welcomed one child into the world.
In the span of just five years, she not only completed her MD degree and began her pediatric
practice, but also navigated the tender chaos of early motherhood.
Alongside her clinical work, she began sharing her experiences and pediatric insights on
Instagram under the handle @babydoc.amreen, where she has built a community of parents
who resonate with her blend of medical guidance and honest reflections from her own life as a
mother.
This book is not a textbook. It is not simply an instruction manual. It is, in many ways, her
memoir of the fourth trimester — a companion for every new mother who finds herself both
overwhelmed and overjoyed, exhausted and exhilarated, broken and rebuilt all at once.
As mothers, what we most need in the thick of it is guidance that feels like beloved companionship—steady, reassuring, and grounded in real understanding. This book tries to do just that.
