Krishnan is an explorer, he does consulting for a living and enjoys food as well as trekking to lead a full-filling life. He took to trekking when he was in his 40s and since then has been trekking every year, including multiple treks some years, along with managing a professional career. After the first few treks, he started taking his friends and family along with him and many are addicted to trekking like him.
An avid photographer, he lugs his full-frame DSLR, in a special holster to record his experience for posterity. Uttarakhand is his favorite destination and he works with the local guides as a part of his contribution to a sustainable local economy. In 2017, he attempted to turn his passion into a business venture and started a trekking company.
He has since given up the idea of making money through trekking and focused on creating memories and friendships. He is very happy to organize treks for friends and like-minded people for the joy of visiting the mountains, meeting people, and making friends.

A whim to experience outdoor life sparked a life-changing experience and a new love affair, a love for the mountains. More than a travelogue, I have relived each of my favorite mountain haunts visually in this book. Every picture and every day in the mountains have a story behind it. These stories include the local people, whose guests we were, friends, and yours truly.

More than a travelogue, I have relived each of my favorite mountain haunts visually in this book. Every picture and every day in the mountains have a story behind it. I have trekked many of these trails multiple times, hence some of them have more pictures than others. These visits in the last 11 years have transformed me from an introvert to an extrovert, a weakling with a bad back (three slipped discs) to a fit 50-year-old. I became a better photographer and a better traveler over time and this is reflected in the quality of pictures as well.
I often tell my friends that a week of hiking in the mountains is equivalent to a lifetime of memories. And I have plenty of them to share in this photo book.
