Vipin Thomas is a dad who discovered a kind of quiet that had been waiting for him all along—he just found it a little later than he wished.
For years, like many busy parents, his mind spun endlessly—work deadlines, family schedules, that constant feeling of falling behind. At almost forty, something made him sign up for a ten-day silent meditation retreat called Vipassana. No phones. No talking. Just sitting with himself.
On day three, something shifted. The mental chatter that had been his companion for decades began to soften. By day ten, he understood what peace actually felt like—not the absence of problems, but the presence of calm within them.
Life was still busy, but he was different. Vipin works in tech by day, but his real joy comes from being "Appa" to his daughters, Nanma and Daiva. When seven-year-old Daiva started asking those beautiful, impossible questions kids ask—Why does my brain feel so noisy?
