Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalBehind every person and family living in an apartment, there are some things we know, and some things that remain unknown. It is these unknowns about people that form the basis of the stories in this collection.
Couples apparently happily married, children with behaviours that have explanations beneath the surface, senior citizens with their own stories, families with complications that go beyond individual, community or social backgrounds – each of these have a story lurking behind them.
Inspired by experiences while living in an urban apartment, 2 BHK for Rent is a set of common place stories that will surprise you with the stories behind people we know and see, provoke thought about everyday observations and often bring a smile on your face or a tear down your cheeks. The stories in this collection will take you on an urban sojourn where life may not be always the way it looks!
Ranjit Kulkarni
Ranjit Kulkarni is an author with a penchant for portraying characters from the real world and weaving stories around their apparently mundane lives.
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Kulkarni spent his childhood in the environs of urban, middle-class India. As an adult, he’s travelled the world, exploring the cityscapes of America, getting lost in the natural beauty of Europe, and absorbing the tastes and sounds of Asia.
With his constant knack for observation and a deep-seated fondness of reflection, he loves crafting sensitive tales that entertain and provoke thought. When not writing, Kulkarni loves reading and going on trips with his wife.
