Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThe “Arterial Blood Gas Analysis” handbook is an essential resource for healthcare professionals at every level. Dr. Sumita Agrawal and her distinguished co-authors have mastered the art of clarifying a complex subject through a structured approach that seamlessly combines foundational concepts with practical applications. With real-life clinical scenarios and step-by-step guidance, this handbook is an indispensable tool for effective bedside decision-making.
The newly added chapters on interpreting arterial blood gases (ABG) in conditions such as COPD, interstitial lung disease (ILD), and diabetic ketoacidosis stand out as particularly impressive. They provide a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic changes that occur during disease progression and treatment, which is critical for effective patient management.
As a physician, I firmly recognize the authors’ commitment to making this vital aspect of patient care accessible and practical. This handbook is not merely a guide; it is a crucial companion for anyone managing acutely ill patients in today’s demanding clinical settings.
Whether you are a medical student, resident, or seasoned practitioner, this handbook will significantly enhance your diagnostic skills and decision-making capabilities in critical care.
