Author Name: Farhat Fatima | Format: Paperback | Other Details

"Today, in the name of 'Advanced Technology', we are only diverting our mind from our pain and suffering. 'Scopes' have increased the scope a lot. When something is used excessively, it becomes the cause of disaster.

Knee pain has become very common among women in their 50s. People are busy with their lives, using ointments or oils.

But can you imagine where this treatment for my mother's knee pain would lead her?

We were unaware that the journey written in our destiny was yet to come. Leaving aside the treatment that was needed, all other unnecessary treatments were being done. This was the reason for her repeated hospitalization. We didn't realised when we had moved from treatment of diseases to treatment of side effects.

During this hospital stay, I have seen a lot of things, such as different types of patients, their conditions and problems.

This experience of observing so deeply the Physician's burnout, their frustration, ego clashes, silent war among them and deception. I came to see the healthcare system from a different perspective.

Both right and wrong cannot be ignored. Disease goes aside, and patient remains entangled between right and wrong like Tom and Jerry...

Through a compelling plea for change, 'First do no harm' envisions a future where patient safety stands at the forefront, ensuring that every life entrusted to the hands of modern medicine is protected with the utmost dedication, compassion, and integrity."
