Ravi Kumar Subramanyam merges a triple academic foundation— industrial engineering, business administration, and computer science—plus a CFA credential, yet his greatest school was the hours he spent watching Star Trek and old sci-fi films with his brother. Born in 1974 in Kumbakonam, his parents combined scholarly ideals (his father was both a teacher and an entrepreneur) with athletic grit (his mother was a volleyball champion in the ‘60s).
This dynamic upbringing lent Ravi the blend of discipline, curiosity, and visionary thinking that marks his journey. He cut his professional teeth at one of the world’s largest enterprise software companies before embracing entrepreneurship in 2005, founding three startups that ranged from enterprise mobility to embedded systems.
