a) Join the Sabah Government Pensioner Association in 2000 membership No 1234
b) In 2001 become the acting chairman of PPKS Tawau DCC
c) In the year 2001 moved to Kota Kinabalu and took active part in Kota Kinabalu PPKS as a committee member under the leadership of MR Terance Liaw
d) When Datuk Dr Epin took over as the President, became the Vice president
e) Four years later Datuk Wilfred Lingham took over and I was nominated and took the post as the Deputy President till the year 2023

Born in 1943 in Sandakan, Bryan Paul Lai is an esteemed educator, community leader, and author. With a lifelong dedication to education, he began his teaching career in 1969 and later served as Headmaster of St. Patrick School Tawau (1983–1998), shaping the lives of countless students. Beyond academia, he actively contributed to scouting, sports clubs, and civic organizations, earning him prestigious awards, including the Federal Award (PPN) in 1990 and the State Award (ADK) in 2002.
