Jaideep Gupte has been a banker by profession for over two decades and resides in Mumbai. Though he was once associated with the financial world, his interests today vary from Astronomy, The Science Of How Things Work, Religion and History. An avid fan of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Mythology genres, he has recently embarked on his second endeavour- “Inventions”. From his high school days he was always intrigued by how things around him worked- from what powers your day to day gadgets to why the sky is blue and what makes the sun shine. Though science should have been his elective after school, he chose commerce instead. However his interest is this field never dimmed. Given that technology is becoming increasingly invasive in our life, he thought it apt to bring forth a chronological pick of the most colossal and towering inventions ever. He hopes that this book will set the ball rolling in instilling a spirit of enquiry in the mind of the reader and at the same time underscore the genius of the inventors.
