Rani and Unni move into Lakeview, a beautiful lake-side bungalow in the outskirts of Chennai. On their first night at the house, Rani witnesses a strange skirmish through the window. Mysterious incidents continue to occur, and dead bodies turn up in the lake. The new tenants become suspects despite the local belief that Lakeview is haunted.

Sudeepa has published four novels and several short stories across multiple genres. The Lakeview Mystery is her second novel in the cosy mystery genre after The Serpents of Kanakapuram. She loves to interweave ecological and technological themes with her stories.
Sudeepa lives in Singapore with her husband and daughter. She is an alumnus of IIM Mumbai with an engineering degree.
