Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalWhat happens when love never gets a name?
What We Never Named is a story about the kind of connection that doesn’t fit into words — the one that lingers in pauses, unfinished sentences, and long silences that mean everything. It follows two people who meet by chance and grow into something undefined, discovering that not every bond needs to be explained to be real.
Through quiet moments and unspoken truths, their story unfolds like a memory — soft, imperfect, and achingly human. It’s about timing that never aligned, feelings that never faded, and the courage it takes to move on without closure.
In his debut novel, Varun Rathi captures the subtle chaos of modern love — where emotions run deep, yet words fall short. Thoughtful, nostalgic, and deeply relatable, this book is a reminder that the most powerful stories are often the ones we never tell aloud.

Varun Rathi is an Indian author, storyteller, and creative thinker whose work bridges the space between emotion and introspection. He believes that the quietest moments often tell the loudest stories — a theme that runs through his debut novel, What We Never Named: A Story of Love, Silence, and Everything Left Unsaid.
Varun’s writing is known for its tenderness, simplicity, and truth. He doesn’t write to impress; he writes to connect. His words are drawn from real emotions, fleeting moments, and the silences we all live with. For him, stories are not just narratives — they are reflections of the small, unspoken experiences that shape who we become.
Currently pursuing his Master in Management at IE Business School in Madrid, Varun has lived across cultures and conversations that continue to influence his creative voice. His background in business and storytelling allows him to see people as both dreamers and decision-makers — individuals driven by emotions as much as ambitions.
Outside writing, Varun finds inspiration in music, late-night city walks, and the subtle poetry hidden in everyday life. He’s passionate about exploring how art, emotion, and human connection intersect in modern times. His approach to storytelling combines cinematic imagery with raw honesty, creating narratives that feel deeply personal yet universally relatable.
What We Never Named is not just his first novel; it’s a reflection of his belief that love, in all its forms, deserves to be felt even when it’s never defined.
Through his writing, Varun hopes to reach readers who have ever loved in silence, lost without closure, or remembered without reason — reminding them that the beauty of life often lies in what we never say aloud.
