This book is actually a collection of selected portions mainly related to Assam which were published in-between 1836 to 1850 in American Baptist Magazine, Boston. These documents can access through Google books and on line libraries. I have just compiled these documents and convert it a book form. These documents are purely evangelical despite we have found here a socio-economic history of nineteenth-century Assam. Some of the articles and letters were written by native preachers along with the missionaries mentioning their undergoing problems.
