The author comes from a cosmopolitan family. As a young girl, she was very isolated and was a loner, she felt different even from her siblings. Born in Delhi under very mysterious circumstances, she often wondered and questioned about things that perplexed her family, especially her parents. She experienced the love and hate relationship between her parents. In her own life, she was mirroring her parent's relationship, was determined, however, to overcome it. She continues to teach and inspire her students.
