Was goodness ever present within us?
Goodness is not merely a phenomenon, nor is it an isolated act. It is often a temporary state of action and seldom a way of life. Goodness represents a degree of selfless action, and humans are rarely conditioned to sustain selflessness. Look around—we are accustomed to possessing or lusting for love, wealth, status, material possessions, acclaim, appreciation, desires, and much more. We are victims of our desires and possessions, and both defy goodness.
Understanding the rudimentary role and the ensuing enigma of human goodness, and identifying the virtues that make each one of us either a good or a bad human being, Good to Goodness is a collection of author’s thoughts, interpretations, experiences, and beliefs that ultimately shape a good human being. The book also reflects on how a life of goodness affects society, our social behaviour, our relationships, and our existence as humans at large.
Good to Goodness is the author’s third book after The Perennial Journey in 2017 & Rooh-e-Rumi in 2019.
