Guidance for Mankind from the Qur’an draws the attention of Muslims to the Qur’an by methodically teaching them the practical meaning of the Qur’an, as well as the five basic obligations we owe to the Qur’an. The practical purposes of the Qur’an are primarily to improve our spiritual awareness and to enhance our conduct and behaviour in society.
The Qur’an is by far the most widely read book in the world, but it is also the most misunderstood book, which creates such a dichotomy forcing this author as a Muslim to offer a simple explanation that will hopefully clarify some obscure points.
This book is primarily for those searching spiritual roots from authentic sources of the Qur’an with the intention of awakening and improving his or her spiritual awareness. As such, it is an opportunity to critically observe ourselves without ego, to identify our defects and correct them with the teachings of the Qur’an.

Alassane Dembele
Alassane Dembele was born in Mali, where he studied from primary school to high school. Growing up, he received a basic knowledge of Islam and a Western education. He continued his higher education in the United States, in Atlanta, Georgia, where he studied accounting, finance and auditing at a secular university (Devry University and Kennesaw State University). After completing his secular studies, he began working in U.S. firms and held senior positions, serving as the Accounting Manager of Seagull Software System and MFG.com, and then as Financial Manager of LeasePlan Corp. During his professional career, he also began his religious studies at the Al Jameyatul Amirikiyal Maftuha University in 2003 studying Usul ul Deen (the foundations of Islam). He then deepened his knowledge in Islamic finance and the international monetary system. He is now working on his Ph.D. at ISFRA (Higher Education and Research Centre of Mali). Having worked incessantly on the teachings of the Qur’an around the world, he is delighted to launch his first work titled Guidance for Mankind from the Qur’an.
