The sole purpose of this book is to provide a peek into this world of cars, which stand on either side of a coin, of which a lucky few are cared for and preserved in the hands of hobbyists, collectors and museums, and several others, less fortunate, hibernating and surviving a snowflake life. Whatever the condition, they spread the same aroma on anyone who has the inclination, not to mention other petrol heads and classics admirers who are the fraternity because of which automobilia of a bygone era is still surviving.

The author is an automobile enthusiast since kindergarten when he was first bit by the auto bug when he travelled in his neighbour's car for admission to school and since then was admiring the cars that frequented his neighbourhood especially those of his father's friends, with an educational background of bachelor of sciences from Andhra University, joined Pharmaceutical Marketing with a giant multinational company, hence had the opportunity of travel to places which helped him to harness his love for automobiles which culminated into a desire of owning them which he was fortunate to lay his hands on a few, this galvanised the interest and the feeling of kinship with these old sheet metal beauties that he witnessed dwindling disappearing from the roads and now tapered to a level of less known segment of vehicles, this sparked the need to bring this book as a curtain raiser for the present youth prompting them to peep into the window of these automobiles, and hopes his purpose of harping on the subject care for these cars that have contributed to the present world of automobiles by laying foundation on which the industry grew.
