RG Rajan
Shri R. G. Rajan holds a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IT-BHU (now IIT-BHU) and an MBA from Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow, U.K.
With a career spanning over 45 years in India's public sector, he has made outstanding contributions to the fertilizer, chemicals, oil and gas sectors. He began his journey in 1980 with Engineers India Limited (EIL), before joining GAIL (India) Limited, where he rose to Executive Director over two decades.
In 2007, he became CMD of Projects & Development India Limited (PDIL), modernizing its engineering consultancy functions. In November 2010, he assumed charge as CMD of Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited (RCF), leading the company to new heights until his superannuation in June 2016.
Shri Rajan served as Chairman of the Fertilizer Association of India (FAI) from 2012–2014 and Chairman of SCOPE from 2015–2016. In 2023, FAI conferred upon him the Lifetime Achievement Award for his distinguished contributions to India's fertilizer industry.
Post-retirement, he continues to serve as an Independent Director on multiple corporate boards, mentor to young professionals, and consultant in chemicals, fertilizers, and sustainability. He is also associated with the Institute of Directors (IOD), contributing to corporate governance and board excellence in India.
