रात्रीचा एक वाजला होता.थंडी मी म्हणत होती.रात्रीची शांतता भयाण होत पसरत होती.आजूबाजूला झाडे आणि पक्षी चिडीचूप झाले होते. ती रात्र अमावस्येची होती. लांबून एखाद दुसऱ्या गाड्यांचा आवाज ऐकू येत होता.रात्रीच्या थंडीमध्ये 'तो' रत्नागिरीहून येत होता.अंगात घट्ट रुतलेला शर्ट, अंगभर दिसणाऱ्या शिरा,फुगलेले दंड,मानेपर्येंत वाढवलेले केस...अशा अवतारात 'तो' आंबा घाटातून निघाला होता.तो येत असताना घाटात असणाऱ्या झाडांच्या आडून चार अदृश्य डोळे त्याच्याकडे नजर ठेवून होते. कोण आहेत ते?
