WG. CDR. S. M. SHUKLA (RETD.)
Wing Commander Suhas M Shukla (Retd),
an alumnus of the prestigious National Defence Academy, was commissioned in the
Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force. He participated in the Indo-Pak war of
1971. He is also an alumnus of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
He holds an M Sc degree in Military Science from the University of Madras. He
is a qualified navigation instructor and has carried out instructional duties
at the Navigation and Signals School of the Indian Air Force.
Wing Commander Shukla worked as a
Principal at Sainik School, Korukonda, AP, Sainik School Bijapur, Karnataka,
and at Sainik School, Chittorgarh, Rajsthan. He was also the Commandant of
Bhonsala Military School, Nasik. Later, he set up the Royal Gondawana Public
School at Nagpur. Presently he is working as Executive Coordinator with the
Sanjeewan Vidyalaya Trust at Panchgani, Pune.
Wing Commander Shuklawas Treasurer and also Honorary Secretary of the IPSC
(Indian Public Schools’ Conference). He was a member of the committee set up by
the Government of Maharashtra to set up Sainik Schools in the state. He has
visited almost all the Sainik Schools and a number of leading residential
public schools of the country.
Whilst working as the Commandant
Bhonsala Military School, Wing Commander Shukla was greatly influenced by
thinking and writings on the matters of national security of Dr BS Moonje, the
Founder of Bhonsala Military School. Dr Moonje was a member of the Central
Assembly.Wing Commander Shukla started the
Bhonsala Industrial Security Training Academy at Nasik.
He established the Institute of
Industrial Security Management and Research at Nagpur, a unit of Ex-Servicemen
Multipurpose Services,Nagpur. His training
syllabus was accepted by Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nasik,
and a certification course for security guards was started by the university.
He was appointed as the paper setter and examiner of the course.
He has been a member of the American
Society for Industrial Security.
