Prof. Dr. SALEEM ZOUGHBI

Dr. Saleem Zoughbi is a senior research advisor for information and communication technology (ICT). He has provided technical assistance and advisory services to over 60 developing countries, assisting governments on strategic and policy levels on e‐governance, smart cities, national strategies and ICT development, and national digital transformation policies.

Saleem spent over 18 years in his academic career before he moved to international development and research and development on science and technology policies. For the last 17 years, he has been working in many countries, such as UN ESCWA, and then moved to other UN organizations in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, and the Mediterranean. Currently he is a senior UN expert at the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV).
