After three decades in HR and social work, one truth became impossible to ignore:
Life doesn’t always teach you through textbooks — it teaches you through people.
From boardrooms to factory floors, from government offices to small villages, from senior executives to university students, local folks in Kashmir to down south of India, I have met over 50,000 people across different backgrounds, cultures, languages and beliefs. Every conversation — whether during an appraisal discussion, an exit interview, a CSR visit, a town-hall meeting, a late-night cocktail party or chai break with friends by the roadside carried a lesson.
This book is a celebration of these humans, their emotions and learnings. It is a reminder that wisdom doesn’t always come from headlines or classrooms — sometimes it comes from unexpected strangers, fleeting interactions, and conversations that stay with us long after they end.
Because in the end, we are all influenced by the people we meet.
