Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalWhat is the real nature of your relationship with God?
Many of us who love God and have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior have discovered that,in our day-to-day relationship with him, nothing has really changed that much. He is still Lord, but we instinctively feel that there should be something more.
When Jesus taught his disciples to pray, “Our Father in heaven” he was introducing a radical new concept to his followers – that it is possible to know God as your Father as well as your Lord. No longer was God to be seen as a terrifying Deity who must be appeased, but as a loving Father who is calling us to himself.
From Lord to Father explores the things that keep us from making that transition and presents some practical ideas towards changing the nature of our relationship with God. In the words of C.S. Lewis: “Mere improvement is not redemption, though redemption always improves people. God became man to turn creatures into sons” (CS Lewis / Mere Christianity).
