Teaching Arabic as a second language is still based on intuition and unprincipled methods in many parts of the world. Many textbooks and materials for this purpose still use outdated pedagogy in second-language teaching. Although there are some attempts to break with this tradition, the gap is still noticed.
Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah is an Arabic Academy first established in Surat, India, with its educational focus on the Quran, Islamic sciences, the Arabic language and literature. The academy presents a solution for these long-suffering Arabic learners, especially those who practice language learning in a country where it is not spoken. This book aims to show the intersection between the methodology of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah and modern linguistic theories to establish a universal status for this language learning and teaching method. It also provides a methodology for Arabic language learning in which the emphasis goes to the Arabic language without the slightest ignorance of the importance of learning and teaching foreign languages as access to the modern world.
