Dr. Jones Ronald BSc, MD, MNAMS, DM (Neph), completed his undergraduate course (MBBS) at Tirunelveli Medical College (1968), did his MD in General Medicine at Madurai Medical College (1976) and did Super speciality DM Nephrology at Madras Medical College (1984), Since then, he has been working in Salem as a Senior Nephrologist for over 35 years.
Initially he served as the Head of Department of Nephrology at Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College & Hospital, Salem. After retirement, he continues to be Senior Nephrologist at Salem Gopi Hospital. He has also been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award for his Nephrology care to patients. He was recently awarded Dronachariar award as an excellent teacher of Nephrology at national level. Based on his experience with he has played an important role in writing this compact book about kidney problems, its causes and treatment methods, in a way that everyone can read and understand easily
Dr. Hari Janakiraman MD, DNB (Nephro), has more than 15 years of experience as a consultant Nephrologist and kidney transplant consultant. He had his Nephrology post graduate training at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore and currently Consultant Nephrologist and Kidney Transplantation physician at Salem Gopi Hospital for over 15 years. He has spoken about kidney disorders in many medical seminars. He is also keenly involved in creating awareness through television and radio broadcast.
The first declaration of brain death, organ donation and Cadaver Renal Transplant in Salem took place under his supervision. Based on his experience, he has given explanations on Kidney disorders in this book.
