Through the snowclad lanes of the Kargil sector, walked a young officer of twenty-two. His face wore a strange hue of valour and pride. Captain Saurabh Kalia from the 4 Jat Regiment was ordered to investigate the position of the snow in the vacant posts at the LOC with his team of army men. Amidst the chilly snowfall, the fraudulent hands of Pakistan captured them with guile and took them into captivity. Brutally tortured and subjected to inhuman torment, they were murdered by those filthy hands; shot dead in the head. The book "The Bravehearts of Motherland" tries to portray the stories of such unsung warriors and is an effort to bring out the lost facts that have been suppressed below the glaciers. Writers from around our nation with a heart flooded with patriotism and humane soul that cries for such brave warriors have given their valuable words in this book to hoist the pride and valour of such brave soldiers; highest in the air for each one of us (Indian Citizens) to feel the torment they have been through and the respect that we must shower on them. I urge you all to read this book as it is going to be a journey into the world of brave army men and their stories of martyrdom.
