Its 2025, Hasina and Shakil are resting in their farmhouse, happily watching their grand children play. It’s been thirty five years, and the life the couple knew then has transformed beyond recognition. It actually felt like a fading dream compared to today’s reality. They couldn't believe how long they've come, together.

Kids came running to them watching their grandparents eyes filled with happy tears, rolling down the eyes with a big smile on their face yet with a cracky voice. The kids asked them what was the reason for these tears, the story started then.

This is us, through the years.

Couple named Hasina and Shakil were married on Sunday, 21st May 1989 in a traditional way. It was an arranged marriage and the girl and the boy were unknown to each other until the day of the wedding.

After the wedding, the couple stayed in the village for around half a year. The boy was just nineteen when he got married, immature yet responsible and the girl was twenty-one having strong hold on things around her.

The boy went out his village in search of a job and started a small shop with few technical tools with him only having a table and switch board but sadly the things didn’t go as planned so the plan of shop got stopped within few months.

In the meantime, the couple was blessed with a baby boy and the sadness and emptiness that they had in past one and half year was filled but the main question, “How to raise the boy with absolute no money in their pockets?”
In no time after six months, the couple expected the second baby and they were blessed with a baby girl on Thursday, 28th November 1991. Again the same question arose “ How to raise the kids with absolute no money in their pockets?”

After gust of struggles, hard work and prayers, the man of the house got a chance to visit KSA in the technical field for the sake of job where KSA was a developing country. Everyone in the house were so happy because there will be no more financial crises but the problem was distance between the family. The father will go to gulf and the mother and kids will stay back in the village with zero communication . Of course they were in hard times but they didn’t lose hope. The only means of communication between the family were postal letters. Their love blossomed and travelled the distances through ink and paper.

In no time after the offer letter, the father had to depart leaving a wife and two kids behind.
There was communication between them for once in 30 to 45 days, rather than talking about themselves they used to talk only about kids.
The contents in the letters were as,
“Today our son ran around the house without any support”, “ For the first time our daughter said papa and was chanting it all day long”. “ We all miss you a lot”. “ We are all waiting for you”, “Come soon”.

This set of conversations went on for a span of thirty-six months until when a letter came of the news that he was coming to India the next month.

Happiness, happiness and happiness. This was the only thing that was seen in the house for that whole month.

The kids and their mother both could not wait to see their papa and husband come in the home and finally the day arrived.

Father came and the new journey of life started. After two months of staying with the family, the father had to leave again.
Again the same things continued that were done in those 36 months. When all things settled in a balanced way the father ultimately decided to leave KSA and settle again in India with an intention to stay with the family. For the sake of children’s education, the family didn’t stay further in village they shifted to nearby town.

Both their kids started going to a Convent School in their vicinity and they stayed in a rented Apartment. Life was going smooth and they were again blessed with a baby boy on 4th February, 1998. A little bundle of joy and someone who grew up to be a fine man from a young mischievous boy.

Days and years passed by and the family was happily living their life. The family lived their life with different perspectives of life.
Positive perspective included Happiness, Hope, Love, Gratitude and Peace.

Negative perspective included Sadness, Madness, Fear, Anger and regret.

Reflective perspectives included Curiosity, Nostalgia, Confusion, Acceptance and Growth.

Until one fine day, the business into which day was ultimately went under a huge loss and there was no chance left with the family other than thinking of a different source.

It all felt like every step forward is filled with more storms than sunshine.

Again starting from zero, the man of the house started to search for different working options. By this time both elder siblings were in higher secondary sections and the smallest child was in primary school.

With a new morning comes a new hope, there came a huge outlet of requirement of already experienced technicians having gulf experience for the country of UAE as it was having a mission of becoming a developed country by 2020. Again the emotions of happiness busted inside the house but this time it was not so difficult as before because the technology was more advanced and the communication wasn’t a struggle like before. The father left for UAE in March 2025 with new hopes new happiness.
Everything was to come on track after four months of father being abroad until one fine day there was an unusual rains in the town due to which floods and cyclone came and devastated Everything in no time.

Thankfully the neighbours were so good that having food for few days was not an issue but what about later days.

Again they started mending their life in best possible way. In the mean time, the first son had completed his SSC exams and got good percentage. The son had a best friend whose father was MLA of the town and both the friends along with inclusion of their parents decided to go to Baramati where there was hub of quality education in Maharashtra. The separation of mother from her son again reflected those days when father had gone to KSA for the first time as there was minimal of contact as per the rules and regulations of the campus.

Just in two months came a news that a boy from the campus of the highest class committed suicide and it was a shock for all the students staying there. The boy and his friend got so afraid that in no time they both returned back to their town and got admitted in their nearby college. Although the admissions process required double the money that the actual, there was no second option other than dropping the year. Collecting all the courage after a heartfelt set back the college days were filled with lots of knowledge and wisdom
After two successful years, he completed HSC exams with flying colours. In the year 2010, Information Technology was an emerging field as now and so he took admission in newly built up engineering college about a 10 km away from the town and a new life started. The boy was smart on his own and he was able to complete engineering with lots of struggles as the college was new and there was lack of management. Convocation took place and there came a challenge of finding job.

The boy was a very ambitious and perfectionism on his own. At the start he joined a multi national company name Contingent but he was no satisfied there. He used to stay with his moms uncle and aunty but the heart wasn’t satisfied with what he was working and what he was earning. He came back home. Angry and furious his mom was not able to digest that the son was not ready to work in a multi national company only because he did not like. But the son was so firm on his decisions that he did not go back to the same work. Then again the job hunting started.

After failing to work in the MNC, the boy always had huge respect for the YouTube teachers and so he decided to become a professor of the same. He made efforts and struggles to make his lecture look like a screen of interest to students but his mother wasn’t supporting him in it as she always had a vision of her engineering son should work in a company to showcase his knowledge and so even after trying hard just to keep heart of his mother he even dropped the teaching field. Again the things came and settled on zero.

The boy was already super ambitious and so smart in his work that he felt that he should not work under someone’s guidance or under someone’s Bossy nature and the field of Information Technology was emerging in different sectors so he started an online shopping centre named ShopKuf. He had few business partners who were invested with their efforts, time and money for the same. It was 2016, when these things took place and but the town where he would stay wasn’t ready to accept this huge change as people there accepted traditional way. After a span even ShopKuf had to shut there doors and again all the efforts and hard work and ideas settled to zero.

It was a tuff time because the age was increasing but there was no settled life style. Eventually it was then decided by his parents that he will go to UAE as his father started his occupational life there and boom the things worked there. His skills and abilities were recognised by those Shaikhs of UAE and he joined a firm with a satisfactory salary. Later he was awarded with best employee award and was given the highest position in the firm. But again he wasn’t satisfied, he thought of switching the company and to his surprise he was selected as IPO in ADCB i.e. Abu Dhabi Central Bank which is one of the most renowned and most successful banks of all times. Respect, good position, extremely good salary and obviously a good wife came in his way.

He was not only a good as a person but he too was an excellent brother to his siblings, a good son of their parents, a good husband to his wife, an excellent uncle to his nephews and what not.

So concluding this, we can say that settling for low is never an option, If we try hard and work effortlessly for it, nothing is impossible. Of course there will be many problems but we can’t stay back to it.

From the story we thus understand the father and son duo did everything except losing hope. This goes on and on in generations and every generation carves a beautiful story as an inspiration to all.

Struggles and fall backs are an inevitable part of life, which tell us the difference between what we really want and what fate provides us with. They show us our strength, patience, and faith when everything seems to fall apart. But it’s through these very challenges that we discover our inner enthusiasm and the courage to keep going, even when the road is not our cup of tea. Just as darkness makes us value the light, hardship helps us truly appreciate peace and relief. When we overcome difficulties, the joy we feel is not just about the end, it is about the journey, the growth, and the strength we have gained. Relief does not come by avoiding struggles, but by facing them, learning from them, and emerging stronger. The moral is clear: never give up during hard times, for they are the stepping stones to a better, brighter tomorrow. Struggles do not break us, they build and rebuild us, and the relief that follows is a quiet reminder of how far we have come and how successful we have become.
