Aayush and Riya dated for 8 years before marrying in 2015. They had been married for three years and were very happy together; their married life was like a dream; it was a fairytale for Riya; it was precisely what she had hoped for as a child and while dating Ayush. Ayush was a kind-hearted person who really liked animals and sweets; he worked as an IT director for a reputable company. Riya was an English teacher at a high-quality private school.
They were hoping to have a kid, and everything was going well until Riya received a phone call one day that changed her whole life.
15 February 2017 – that day was weird from the start; when Ayush stepped out of his house to go to work, a dog in the vicinity began barking at him nonstop. A crow was making noise at the kitchen window until the evening.

Riya was in the kitchen, preparing dinner, when her phone rang. She answered it, "Hello?" "Hello?" a man said.
"There was an accident on the highway. We're calling from the hospital, and the person who was in the accident has put your number at the top of their calling list."

Riya hurried to the hospital in a state of terror, sobbing uncontrollably till she was short of breath. While physicians operated on Ayush, she waited impatiently outside the operating room and prayed constantly that he would survive. Officials informed her that Ayush was driving at a high speed when an unexpected wild animal suddenly appeared in front of his car. In an attempt to save the animal, he swerved right, resulting in a collision with a standing truck. Ayush's car from the front was completely wrecked, as were his bones, head, and chest; medics attempted everything to save him, but he died.
Riya could not believe his death; it was a giant trauma for her because he had been with her for years. It was difficult for her to live a life without him. She ceased all activity—eating, washing, and speaking—and instead spent her days pleading with God, "Hey... God, please return him. I will do everything in my power to make him return." She hoped that someone would listen to her cries.

"Lord, give him back; I can't live without him. Please have mercy on me. I would do anything to be with him and live a married life with him. Please allow me to do so. Return him or send me where he is right now."

With tears streaming down her face, she begs God on a daily basis... People around her were concerned that she would turn suicidal, but Riya was even terrified of taking her own life, fearing that she would not end up where her husband is now. She wanted her husband to be with her; the sorrow of being apart from him was becoming intolerable; the only refuge left for her was God.

Her sister and dad decided to take her to their hometown in Uttarakhand for a few months.
Ashna, her sister, was very concerned about her; she wanted her to recover from the trauma, and she was doing everything she could to help her. One morning, Ashna decides to take her to the library; Riya has always enjoyed reading, and whenever she was upset as a child, she would go to the library to read some books and brighten her spirits.
Ashna, aware of this, decided to take her to a library, and Riya agreed to go.
Riya was just browsing the shelves; she would rather not read anything in particular; she was there to pass the time, as her sister had asked her to join. That library was small, and few people visited it; this was something Riya appreciated about that place since she was young. Riya glances through the library and comes across the oldest shelf, which contains the earliest books of all time. Among these ancient volumes, one catches her eye—it bears neither a title nor the name of its author. As she took it and opened it, the words "The Place where you will find the Power to Change the Written and Unwritten Pages." greeted her. Riya looked into this book, but except for this one page, it was completely empty; there was a map within, a handmade map. She looked at the map and was intrigued to follow it. After making up her mind, she sets out to follow the directions on the map. After hours of travelling and tracking, she arrives at a cave on a mountain. She was afraid to go inside, but the lines in the book about changing the written piqued her interest, so she goes inside. The cave had a very small passage, and after scrolling for a while, she ended up in a very large hall— a very huge, magnificent library. It was an enormous library, with vast shelves and exquisite atmosphere all around. The atmosphere was both glorious and weird; she had never seen a library like this, with such large shelves and so many books with nearly the same covers.
Suddenly, she hears someone hum. She followed the sound of humming and ended up finding an old man with a long white moustache reaching almost to his neck and nearly bald, organising books on a shelf. He noticed her and enquired, "Which record are you here to take?"

Riya responded with confusion, asking, "Um, reco......rd, which place is this?"

"You got here yourself, don't you know?" The old man answered.

"I was following this map...and..." Before Riya could finish, the old man interrupted, "This is the library of Akashic records, and I am the keeper."

Riya was baffled. "Aka…sh…ic records," she didn't want to accept what he just said, but what she felt and saw made it difficult not to believe him. The library differed significantly from other libraries. The mood was distinct, and each book had the same cover.

“You must have wanted to change someone's destiny, didn't you?” The elderly man continued.

"Yes…. My husband died, and I want to know how I may bring him back." Riya enquires with interest.

"Your husband? ..... get his Akashic record and change it," he added.

"How?" asked Riya.

"Every living being on Earth has its own book of records. All of their past, present, and future karmas, as well as the karmas they will experience in subsequent lifetimes, are recorded here. Your husband's death is tied to one of his past karmas; he must have done something wrong. Find your husband's Akashic record, determine what went wrong, and change the karma that led to his death; this is the only way you can change his destiny," the old man continued.

Riya was puzzled, but she was hopeful at the same time; he gave her hope, and she was willing to try anything to bring Ayush back.
"How can I change his karma? How could I know which karma led to what?"

"The burden of discovery is with you; I can simply provide you with your husband's record."

"Let me see who your husband was…." The old man begins searching for Ayush's records.
The elderly guy radiated an air of mysteriousness, as if he held the secrets of many lives inside his profoundly expressive eyes. He seemed to know I was coming; despite his old age, he was in good shape. His forehead exhibited an unusual luminescence, as if he were eternal.

He came up to her with a book and gave it to her, pointing out to a desk.
She walks to the desk in confusion, takes the Akashic record book, and sits down to read from the first page. She felt as if whatever she read were unfolding before her eyes like a movie; she could almost feel herself transported to the places and times described. She saw his first birth, his second birth, and all of them. She saw everything as if she were present when it happened.
There was plenty of karma. There was a lot of information, and it was becoming hard for her to process everything, so she decided to focus on Ayush's second last lifetime. She witnessed Ayush's birth in his previous lifetime. WhShe was amazed at what he accomplished and who he turned into.

But she was clueless. There was a lot of material. How could she find out what caused his death in this lifetime? It was very puzzling. She wanted to go ask the librarian for help, but she knew he couldn't help anymore. Watching the events unfold before her eyes was like being in a movie, but she couldn't understand how and what terrible karma had brought this to him in this lifetime.

She discovered something in one of his previous lives, and Riya became convinced that this was the karma that had caused him to die in this lifetime. She hurried to the librarian and informed him, "I know the karma. Tell me how I can change it,"
The librarian replied. "Okay, what karma caused his death?"
She said, "In the last lifetime. He was a forest explorer who abandoned his colleague, who was also his friend, during a wild animal attack to save himself; he knew his freind was going to die, but he didn't look back." The librarian said, "Wrong answer. He had already faced this karma at the end—of that life only—that came with dying in front of some people who didn't help him and just watched him die, so this is not the right answer. Go find again."
She was quite perplexed. She returned to the desk and began reading his Akashic records again, and this time she noticed his fourth lifetime; in that birth, he was an animal. So how could he have done anything to someone and allowed this to happen to him? She failed to find an answer in that lifetime. ShShe also went back and read about his first life, but she didn't find the solution she was seeking.
She witnessed his third life and discovered a significant clue. In that lifetime, he performed a ritual involving the sacrifice of an innocent animal. She assumed this was why he died... he killed an animal in that lifetime, and in the present lifetime, an animal darted in front of his car, confusing him and causing him to collide with a truck; she hurried back to the old man and said, "See in his third lifetime. He sacrificed an animal...... , and that is why his accident was caused by an animal."
The librarian grinned. "Good assumption," he replied, "but he also reclaimed that karma when he became an animal in his fourth birth. He was sacrificed by some other human in that lifetime."

Disappointed, she read his other births and was quite bewildered. What might have led to his awful demise in this lifetime? She was going through pages. She was witnessing all of his karma from his existence in front of her eyes, feeling everything, including the agony, betrayal, grin, and happiness that Ayush had experienced in all of his lives. In his fifth life, he was a Ved (doctor); someone came to him who had been attacked by a wild animal, was bleeding, and needed urgent treatment. However, at the same moment, royal guards arrived and informed Ayush that the queen was unwell and that he needed to attend her immediately. He knew the queen's situation was not as critical as the guy bleeding and crying for aid in front of him, yet he went to the queen because he didn't have the guts to refuse the royal order and left the bleeding man there. Riya dashed up to the keeper and said, "What happens to this man?" Because it was Ayush's record, what happened to that man after he left was not recorded in that book.
"He dies," the elderly guy answered.

"Is this the karma...??" asked Riya.
"Yes, you found it. Are you certain you want to rewrite it?” Old guy warned.

Riya, without a doubt, answered yes; he handed her the celestial quill and instructed her to erase whatever and however she wanted to write the new karma, warning her to be cautious about what she wrote because it could change the past, present, and future dramatically.
Riya alters karma by writing that Ayush chose to aid that guy first, even though he knew he would be punished for defying the royal order; he took the punishment and assisted the dying man.

After making the changes, Riya tentatively returned the record to the librarian and started to exit the cave, but before that, she asked the old man, "Are you...God?"
The old man laughed, "No, I am just his employee."

Little did she know what lay ahead; however, upon getting out from the cave, she found herself in front of her school where she used to teach—instead of her hometown. Looking back, she noticed that the entrance to the cave was missing; she was carrying books and a bag as if she were on her way to work. She noticed the date, which was February 16th, 2017. Terrified, she unlocked her phone and dialled Ayush. He picked up "Hello, babe. What happened?"

Riya begins sobbing out of delight in the middle of the road and rushes to his office to see him. She asked him what happened yesterday, and he responded that they had a really good dinner together after he got home.

Riya felt their karma had changed.
Life seemed normal again; Ayush was present, and everything was normal.

One year has gone. They were happy. Riya noticed a change in Ayush's behavioural patterns. Ayush was behaving indifferently. He was not as emotionally open to Riya as he had been in the past. He had been a little disrespectful for the past few months. He seemed to be hiding something. He changed the lock on his phone without telling Riya. Riya was sure he was hiding something because during their dating phase and the first 3–4 years of marriage, he never changed his phone lock without telling her. He screamed at Riya when she attempted to approach him. He created a scene at home. Fights between them were getting frequent. He was causing Riya a great deal of worry. As time went on, the conflict and annoyance he caused only became worse. The hour at which he used to return home was getting delayed. Previously, he used to get home at 6; now it's around 8, sometimes 9 or 10. Sometimes, he travelled on unannounced business trips.

Until one day, she discovers he's cheating on her. She felt devastated. She had shattered. When she approached Ayush about this and attempted to work things out, he stated that he loved that girl. Riya was in pure shock "You... You….you have loved me for years... we are together for years."

"Now, I don't. I just love her now. She understands me. However, you don't seem to understand me. You are quite selfish." He replied without any guilt.

Riya broke down. Riya felt a crushing loss of heart. She didn't expect this from Ayush. "Ayush is cheating on me with another woman." She was really heartbroken. She could not believe it. "The man I prayed for endlessly not to die. The man I wished would return after his death is doing this with me now that he has come back." It devastated her to her core.

In her quest to reunite with her husband, she chose to go to her homeland and visit the Akashic records library in the cave. She met the old man again and asked furiously, "Is it written in my Akashic records that he will cheat on me someday?"

The old man responded patiently : "Well, it was not written before that he would cheat on you eventually, but it is your karma that you must bear the separation from your spouse, whom you loved so dearly. It's your karma to face this in another way. When he died, you had to deal with your separation from him, but when you spared him from death, you had to deal with that anguish in a different way. It is your karma; everything you confront, everything you do, and everything you feel is a result of your prior karma; separation, broken hearts, you must face them all because they are your karma."

"Are you kidding me?" She shouts. "You are iinsane.
"Give me my Akashic records; give them to me. I will change my karma... give me?" She cried out, frustrated.

"Your life is full of previous karma? How many will you change? I can't let you adjust the karma this time." The old man rrefused.

"Please, I beg you... I will never return to this place again, I promise; just let me do it one ttime.I want to change my negative karma from before; is this wrong? I simply made a mistake and want to repair it." She insisted.

He accepts her argument and gave the Akashic record to her; while giving them to her, he added "for the husband you are doing all this is also a gift of your karma."

Something clicked in her mind when she heard him say that, but she dismissed her thoughts and started looking through her records and uncovered various things, but she could not find the specific karma that caused her to endure this misery in this lifetime. After hours of searching, she discovered something: she was a high official in one of her lifetimes and ordered to kill a man simply for stealing something; his family suffered tremendous pain. It was the karma that led her to face this in this life; she changed it, did not order to kill that man, and instead left him with a minor punishment.

She exits the cave and discovers that her husband is no longer being disrespectful or having an affair. Everything was back to normal; he adored her, but something had changed inside Riya.

Now that she understands everything we have and receive is the result of our past karmas, she realises that her spouse, pet, friends, and sister are all gifts from those karmas. After realising the realities of life and karma, she felt detached from everything, lacking the love she once had for her husband. After living with him for a few months, she chooses to end the marriage, leave the city, and seek further explanations in this world. She decides to visit healers, monks, and scholars to learn more about how she might break free from this recurring circle of karma, this repeated cycle of lifetimes. The one remaining objective in her life was to escape this never-ending circle of karma.
She went back to the cave but couldn't find it. She couldn't find the cave even after using the map that initially led her there; eventually, the map turned blank, with nothing written or drawn on it. From the book, she obtained the map; she cannot find it anymore. She tried so hard, but she couldn't. She is now only working on herself to learn how to break the cycle of life and become enlightened. She also realised the power of good karmas and now encourages people to perform only positive karmas through her NGO and YouTube channel.
