Submitted to Contest #3 in response to the prompt: 'Your character wakes up in a different world. What do they do?'

You might not know what I know! Unpalatable still true , very true!! Claimed Srivatsa.
Mrs.Mahi interrupted"You've had hallucinations siri, how can you be the saviour of this town! This is not our world!

It's been a month Srivatsa, a 17 year old adept girl and Ms.Mahi, her millennial coach for the trekking camp, met for the first time.
They transcended to the mystical town of Shardapuram and according to both of them last they remember was being with their trekking group where due to lack of oxygen they started loosing consciousness and next they woke up to an enigmatic town somewhere not on the Earth which they knew.
Nevertheless, the bewildered stats of their minds is justified because Sharadapuram was replete of things far from the world they both came from.
Srivatsa momentarily thought of all this a part of her hallucinations but Mahi was in utter shock dealing with the byzantine.
The town was pulchritudinous, they experienced the desire of a city person which was a reposeful environment free from tumultuous traffic. But at that juncture despite of being in such blissful place , Srivatsa could only think that her imagination has gone haywire.
An alien land where everything is redolent of Earth but tis still not their land.
All of a sudden a small boy came running towards Srivatsa, handed her a conch shell and as she took it , Mahi shared a bewildered glance, within a fraction of seconds the boy disappeared. There was a sanskrit shlok written on the conch shell
" देवी शारदा पुण्यभूमिरक्षणाय मम आशीर्वादं दत्तवती
अहं पुनः श्रीशङ्खस्य रक्षणस्य कर्तव्यं निर्वहितुं प्रत्यागतवान्"

As she read the shlok aloud , the conch started glowing , glowing more than their eyes could bear, glowing like sun and the conch started floating in the middle of the sky ( akash )and land (dhara ) guiding Srivatsa and Mahi towards a hill.
Inter Alia Srivatsa was feeling a strong connection with something or someone ,she felt she was about to meet someone special and destiny was guiding her to the inflection point of her life.
After 3 hours of tedious walking and laboriously climbing the hill , they reached a place where continuously OM sound was reverberating though there was not a single person around.
It's was an ancient temple, its weathered stone walls covered in intricate carvings and moss, standing proudly amidst a lush, overgrown landscape. The temple's entrance features a grand archway, partially obscured by vines and flowering plants, hinting at the passage of time.
At the center of the archway, there is a magnificent golden heart-shaped lock, glinting in the dappled sunlight that filters through the trees. The lock is ornate, with delicate engravings that tell stories of love and devotion, perhaps hinting at the temple's purpose or the legends surrounding it.
Inside the gate, resting on a pedestal or nestled in the temple's shadow, is a pristine white shell. The shell is smooth and luminous, contrasting beautifully with the rough stone of the temple. It seems to radiate a soft glow, suggesting it holds some mystical significance or treasure within.
Suddenly Sri ( srivatsa) exclaimed saying " I need to protect them, this is my responsibility I'm the saviour of this land where the Swami ( owner ) of this universe entrusted me with this mammoth task which called me once again here after a bazillion years.
Ms. Mahi was in a state of oblivion objecting to what Sri claimed. Srivatsa , after a minute herself got shocked turned towards Mahi and said " I never meant what I said it somehow came to my mouth , I don't know why and how I woke up to this land !?
There was a silence which was much more horrendous than tumultuous sounds that tend to be horrifying...
After a while when Sri stood at the base of the rampart unable to assess the vagaries of the situation and Mahi called Sri inside the temple shouting in a weird tone, slightly curious, excited yet a bit astounded. She showed her that the temple walls inscription were depicting myriad events but all of them were parts or consequences of the "Samudra Manthan " , the great churning of the ocean which is very crucial event in hindu mythology.
Sri was privy to the Samudra manthan as it has been childhood story of every hindu child by our grandmothers but Ms .Mahi being more experienced and aged than her supposedly have known more about this, so she asked " Could you please apprise me about the ocean churning precisely ?"
Ms. Mahi with an amiable smile started " Tis not what you think because it'll take a lot of time and that we can't afford to have . Also this isn't about just the manthan ,main story , actually what you need to know is about the Conch Shell's significance because I think, following all the events , there something relating you to that conch shell.
The conch's story is as old as time, which makes it very interesting. Shankha (Conch Shell) originated from the cosmic ocean during the churning of the ocean of milk. The legend of the Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean) is told in various Hindu scriptures, including the Puranas and the Mahabharata.
the conch, known as the 'shankha,' symbolizes creation and is often associated with the preserver god Vishnu
The sound of the shankha symbolises the sacred Om sound. Vishnu holding the conch represents him as the god of sound. The Brahma Vaivarta Purana declares that shankha is the residence of both Lakshmi and Vishnu, bathing by the waters led through a shankha is considered like bathing with all holy waters at once."

Sri once again had same experience which forced her to call herself the saviour if the town, she held her head in her hands running outwards and that's where she saw the conch shell disappearing into thin air.

The story still remains turbulent but afloat.
The Samudra Manthan is a trite but a truth.
In the story of this mithya , where views cannot be trusted,
Who is the victor and the vanquished?
What is the mystery behind Sri 's identity and her relation to the town...
