No matter what time of day or night when a stranger knocks on the door it can be uneasy or even frightening while we hope that no one is trying do break into you home, a common tactic used by burglars is to knock on the door to see if someone is there before breaking in however, even if no one is trying to break into your home, they may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, which can be just as dangerous.To keep yourself and your home safe, here's what we recommend doing when a stranger knocks on your door. (1) Check lock .
(2) See who it is through a peephole or camera.
(3) Talk to the person through the door.
(4) Call the police ( if necessary).

STEP -4 If the person leaves quickly (or doesn't leave) call the police
