“Has anyone seen my phone?”, asked little me! I wanted to text one of my friends so bad!!! You know the excitement, right? Don’t worry! I am sure not addicted to my cute lil phone! I was just texting my friends when I received a message from an unknown person which changed my mood. From excited to…………..
“You are reading this message at 10 a.m, aren’t you sleepyhead? This message might give you a SHOCKING experience, aiy! Yesterday, Someone must have dropped a radio in a pool where people were swimming……………..at 10 a.m”
That message gave me the CREEPS! I knew what ‘Shocking experience’ actually meant. Was this message some sort of case? Was the person trying to trap me?
I really love solving cases. The only problem was, I didn’t know the location of the pool. I told my family we were going to cancel our Hotel holiday with a huge pool. I searched and searched on Google about a radio in a pool. I finally found the location of the pool after that. Was the unknown person who texted me earlier behind this? I mean, how would he know? I literally brought my magnifying glass with me to ‘examine’ the pool. Or, at least that’s what I told myself. I just wanted to look like a detective! I have always dreamed of becoming one!
It took me 30 minutes just to walk there all alone! The radio was still there! I didn’t dare to pick it up with bare hands. Luckily I brought a hook with me to pick it up! I noticed something weird on the radio. I took my magnifying glass and placed it near the odd thing. It said something else that shook my heart.
“Look! Don’t you see? This is how it is meant to be. One must have someone to play with!”
Could that person be me? No no no! I was terrified! Why would someone want to play with me? The main question should be : Who is writing these?
Suddenly, something struck my mind hard! The message said that the radio was dropped at the time 10 a.m., the time I was reading the message. All pools in my country are CLOSED at that time! So who dropped the radio and why? Who was in the pool when it was suppose to be closed?
But then I remembered! My older cousin went out somewhere yesterday at 9:30 a.m. and he did mention a pool. Was my cousin trapped!? Suddenly, I spotted a guy texting something behind a tree. He clicked something in such enthusiasm. At that exact same time, I got a message from the same number. I didn’t dare to read it! I knew it was that guy! I didn’t see his face though.
I called the police, telling them everything. What messages I got, what surrounded me, etc. That guy turned his head to make sure no one was watching him. I hid behind another tree to make sure he didn’t notice me. Unfortunately, it was so windy that my hair was blowing and that guy noticed me! He lunged for me and tried to strangle me. And to make matters worse, that person was my cousin!
“Somebody………SOMEBODY HELP ME!” I screamed for my life! I totally thought I was done for! There was no one around! Not a security guard, not a life guard, no one! Luckily the police arrived on time. My cousin tried to run away. I just grabbed the police’s gun and shot it up in the sky to catch his attention. Then, I pointed it to him and told him to raise his arms up or I would shoot him. The police caught him.
He asked, “How did you know it was me?”
I said, “I never knew it was you. But I did have some clues that made me suspect you. First of all, the message seemed like you. Second of all, you always told me you wanted to play with someone. Third of all, alI pools in our country closes at 10 a.m. and up you sent weird messages to the real victim leading them to the pool and you dropped the radio. I thought you were the one who got shocked in that pool. But you actually turned out to be a betraying, blood sucking mosquito. Who was the person who got shocked? TELL ME ALI! WHO DID YOU SHOCK!?”
He said that the person he shocked was my friend who I wanted to text earlier. He shocked her as he just wanted to play with my life. I demanded the police to arrest him while he was laughing like crazy. I learned Maahi was alive but she had to be in the hospital for 4 days. I told my uncle and aunt everything and they couldn’t bear the pain. I calmed them down and everything was fine.
I wanted to know what my betraying cousin sent me when I was in the hotel. It said….
“The watcher won.”
He lost though. The next day, I got a call from the police that I was going to be in the team of police officers for solving a very hard case! I was so happy! I am young so I refused for safety reasons but promised I would join in the future.
I am just happy I solved a case. A few words just turned my whole world.
