Submitted to Contest #4 in response to the prompt: 'Past follows you when you move to a new city for a fresh start'

Today, the Facebook conversation continued as usual. But what was special was that the friendly conversation had turned into a love conversation. In it, a joy that Root and Jane did not understand was overflowing. When Jane's parents asked her to marry after choosing a groom, she was shocked. She immediately told them that she only loved a Facebook friend. Her father denied that Facebook love was not real and did not correspond to real life. However, she told them that she loved him very much and had agreed to it. Finally, Her parents agreed. As soon as they give permission , she express his desire to him. He also express his desire and accepted. Both of them were happy thinking that the day would soon come when all the conversations and pictures they had exchanged for two years would come to life in real time, not on the screen. In fact, they had never seen each other in real time, nor had they spoken to each other. Although the distance between them was more than a thousand miles, Jane would feel as if she was listening to the four-line poem Root sent her every day.
After expressing his love
“The moon is getting cold, for you and me!
The stars are shining, for you and me!
The wind is blowing, for you and me!
When will we see each other again? For you and me!” He had sent four lines today as well.
She, who was happy to read them, replied “Next week” and took action.
Since he had not heard Jane’s voice even once till now, he replied
“Do you need a week to hear your voice?”
The very next minute, the phone rang. It was Jane calling, how should he begin? He was filled with anxiety. He decided to start by saying hello like everyone else, and “Hello”
“Hello! I am Jane”
“Root”
A moment of silence. Although the information exchanged between the two until today had been imprinted in both their minds like a cowberry, adding to the beauty and vibrancy of youth, the youth and sweetness of the voice made love bloom even more in their hearts.
“When are you coming”
“Next week”
“Day”
“Wednesday”
“Can I come home?”
“Yes, I have asked permission from my father”
“I will come by train”
“I will also wait at the train station. Do you know what will happen if you don’t come?”
“ You sent the message a while ago. If I don’t come, your marriage will be fixed with someone else. "Okay"
"Okay, attention"
"I'll definitely come for us"
"I'm waiting"
After a week, The man who left on the train as he said, had brought along the poems he had written for her to give her as a gift. Jane had been waiting for him at the train station for hours. Her thoughts were racing. She took the diary from her handbag and reread the poem she had written for him.
“The moon is cold, for you and me! Yet it is not two!
The star shines, for you and me! Yet they are not different!
The breeze blows, for you and me! Yet it is not new!
Tomorrow’s dawn is for you and me!” Yet it is new.”

She closed her eyes and was lost in her imagination.
The train was moving fast. He was standing near the door of the train compartment, looking at the stars in the sky. When it was past midnight, there was a sudden loud noise, the compartments collided with each other and derailed. Before he could even guess what was happening, Root was thrown off the track and fell unconscious.
Here, Other trains came and went. Only the train carrying Root never arrived. After a while, she received news that the train had crashed, but she was shocked and did not know what happened to Root. No matter how hard she tried, she could not find any information about him.
Days passed and a few months also passed. Her parents had persuaded her to marry someone else. Jane, who had drunk poison during the wedding ring exchange at the church, was about to faint when she saw Root running quickly into the church, and she fainted completely and fell down on the floor. Root woke Jane up, and she looked around, and Root was standing in front of her at the train station, smiling with a bouquet in her hand. Realizing that what she had seen so far was a dream, she hugged him with tears of joy.
Her mother, who was watching this from a distance, said, “You were also first introduced to me in Face book. Then why did you object to it initially?”
“That's why I felt sorry for him and said no,” said Jane’s father.
