‘How much is your bill? Prakash asked the shopkeeper as he enjoyed the delicious food of the restaurant.
‘It’s 2588, Cash or Online.’
‘That’s online.’
Prakash Hanrar was inhabitant of Darwin in Australia. He used to live happily in the city with his family and used to enjoy the overseas experience. He was Australian citizen of Indian Ancestry. This is his short story, as he is my friend. He told me one of the best experiences of his life to me. Prakash is having a job in Australia of Architect with a salary of $75000 Australian dollars, it means nearby 41,00,000 Indian rupees.
His life is not at all boring, it’s very interesting. He once told me an incident that made him feel so happy throughout the year. It was that he had love. This had a great impact on his life and he used to totally forget his problems. His love story is still going on, and I don’t know that will he become successful or not? But the story is very interesting.

8 February 2025
‘Oh, it’s really needed to catch the train within 1 second. I’m late.’ Prakash said to himself and went out of the house to catch the train at the morning. He reached the railway station and arrived there before the train.
‘Thank God, It’s not late.’
Soon the train arrived at the platform and Prakash went inside. He sat on the berth and took a breath. Soon the other passengers approached the bogey. A man with a grey blazer sat beside Prakash. He was a white man, Prakash understood that he was Australian.
‘Hello what’s your name? Prakash questioned the white man.
‘Hi, myself Andrew Greywhite, I’m going to Alice Springs to my Uncle’s house.’
‘Let me introduce me to you, I’m Prakash Hanrar, going to Kalgoorlie for work purpose.’
‘Oh, it’s so far. You need to wait a lot.’
‘That’s true, but there the joy.’
‘Absolutely correct.’
As the train departed from Darwin station. The farm fields were on the way of Prakash. Andrew and Prakash were busy in talking about their lifestyle, settlement, jobs, salaries, etc… A businessman is required to talk about the topics, to make him free from the workload and feel better. The train started moving towards the great Australian desert. The train’s speed was fast; it was cutting the desert area. Alice Springs station was many miles away from the Darwin. Prakash decided to do his business work till that time.
‘Mr. Prakash, I’m going for the vacations at my uncle’s house. I have 12 hours to reach Alice Springs, I directly boarded the train from my office.’ Andrew said as he removed his blazer.
‘Yeah, as I’m a businessman, I understand that you have to do something till that time. I suggest you to complete your office tasks which are difficult or pending. This will help you to adjust your time and work.’
‘The problem is that I haven’t brought my laptop. My work isn’t pending and I do my all work on time. I have recently started my Private Limited company; the name is Bocredered. This company will help you to publish any of the book easily without any difficulties. I’ll give the card to you.’
Saying it Andrew gave his business card to Prakash and he accepted it happily. The train was going far from the Darwin city and now there were no farms. It was desert everywhere.
‘By the way, I’m having a mood to sing a song in this vast desert right now.’ Prakash said to Andrew shutting down the laptop.
‘Sing a song? I know many English songs. You want one.’
‘Yes, I finished my all the work. Now I’ll simply do the book reading.’ Prakash removed out a book from his bag and started reading.
‘Which book is that? Andrew asked.
‘It’s ‘The drought is over’ from the writer Shlok Thokal.’
‘Oh, a new author.’
‘Yeah I think so. I like to read books and improve my English skills and grammar. Books help me to memorize everything. When I read a book I forget about my worries. Have you read the book ‘How to stop worrying and start living’ from Dale Carnegie?
‘No, I’ll try to read. I attracted towards the books while the time of lockdown. The world was covered with the Covid-19. Very terrible!
‘Yes, I remembered a song in English. It’s like:
This is the era, this is my world
I’m the king, that is the mud
It’s my favor for the horrible
And, It’s my hobby to make myself terrible
One was the sword, one was the brain
One was the person, and one was the pain
I want to make the world my friend
Let it be that my guy has lend.
Well, I’ve to make my way
Don’t be the chances just lay
For the summer ants work hard
They gain it in the winter so far
But as a little ant never give up
Why should a normal human?
‘Good poetry from Prakash Hanrar.’ Andrew expressed a smiley.
‘I’ve composed it by my own. It’s based on my life till now.’
‘How old are you?
‘Not so old, but 46 years.’
‘Wow! You are a genius minded.’
‘Andrew, you know that I’ve established a shopping complex in Darwin. I’m having my own private helicopter and I also have 3 cars today in my garage. My house is of 2 floors and the land is of 0.5 hectares for the house. My wife name is Aradhya and we both are natively from Maharashtra in India.’
‘OMG! So you are a godfather of businessman Mr. Prakash. Will you tell some of your tips to me. I want to also become a great businessman like you.’
‘I’ll think about it. I hope that you also become a better businessman.’
‘Please tell me now. You and me are having a lot of time to spend with each other as the Alice Springs is too far, you’re having a lot of time to tell the tips.’
‘Andrew, I know that you’re too smart and you have to also become great. I’ll tell you slowly.’
‘Wait a second. You did arrange or love marriage?
‘What silly are you asking Andrew. I should answer you one question at a time.’
‘Oh sorry! You tell me some tips about your skills.’ Andrew said removing his diary and pen out of his bag.
‘Our problem is that we are doing such a work that is not important and don’t have any value. These steps will help you to come out from the difficulties.
• Step 1: Start respecting your work is the first step that you should apply on your life. It helps to go front and help you in those difficult situations.
• Step 2: Don’t support the people those who don’t do your value. If the people don’t value you, they feel that you’re not an important person for them. You go only with those who are respectful and valued for you.
• Step 3: Make proper decisions and think a thousand times before you are doing any work with the wrong person. You should always be with some good ones those you need.
• Step 4: This is the last and the most important step which brings you out from the difficulties. That’s your brain. Your brain is responsible for everything. Ignore the foolish people with their ideas and go with the right ideas. Shine and make yourself a better person to present yourself in front of the world.
If you want to come out of the difficulties, then this 4 steps were important. Now I’ll tell you shortly that how to come out of the laziness.
Laziness and difficulties are two main opponents that don’t let you lead towards your success.
A success rule says that:
• Your weakness is like the weeds; you need to remove it out.
These will help you to come out from the laziness.
• Fix a timetable
• Remove your books
• Study the hard points first
• Make your own decisions
• Create an interest
• Do the work which you like
‘These points are important for those who don’t study.’ Andrew slightly laughed on his useless joke.
‘So good to give you a speech.’
‘Mr. Prakash, you’re so good businessman and also a good man to give a speech. Would you please listen a story from my side? I request you to listen it and you wouldn’t feel boring.’
‘Yeah Sure, I’ve no problem. Let’s go, we will have a bet on stories. The most wonderful story will win. The criteria are emotional, wonderful, horror, romantic, etc…’
‘I accept it, till the Alice Springs I’ll have good entertainment.’
‘Probably, you’re more smart than me. I prefer you to be the next leader of my company.’
‘Now don’t make me feel proud Mr. Prakash.’ Andrew said and both had a slight laugh.
‘I’ve more experience than you and it means more stories than you.’
‘Experience is not an important factor in a story. I’m going to win this bet. I’ll see that how much a businessman knows about stories.’
‘Yes, let’s see. Get, set, go and it’s your turn first.’
‘My Story is about…….’
‘Wait a second. Let me make the appropriate climate for it.’
Prakash closed the curtains, and both of them packed the bags and began with the first story of Andrew.
‘At a time in Perth……’
‘Wait a second.’
‘What happened?
‘Let me eat the chewing gum for better concentration. One more rule that our story should have the consequences.’
‘Sure, should I officially start my story now?
‘Yes, you may proceed.’
‘Then listen:
It was the time when I was in the seventh grade in my school. I was in a secondary school that time. I used to happily live and enjoy my life. I felt that I’m on the top of my form, but after the tragedy, something was gained and something was loss. The impact was huge that I still remember the date when the tragedy began. It was such a type of tragedy that anyone will go against me due to my behavior against the bully at that time.
The date 23 January 2015
I was sitting on my desk inside my classroom. My eyes moved towards the time table, it was social science lecture. It was last lecture of the day. My friend Lora was sitting beside her friend Marcus. The bench beside them was empty, I thought that I should sit there with Lora for the last lecture. A boy Derek was sitting on that huge bench and still it was 60% empty. I decided to sit there and I sat. Soon the SST teacher approached the class and advised the class to do meditation for just 5 minutes. We all sat in the meditation position and Derek started to argue.
‘Hey Andrew, there is something smelling from your pocket.’
‘No there is nothing.’
‘Look, it’s really something different. Don’t you wash your shirt; it’s smelling?
This was the first time when Derek actually started bullying me and I felt awkward. I also started feeling angry on Derek. The bullying was increasing day by day.
‘Hello Andrew, I would like to see you naked.’
‘What the hell are you saying.’
‘You want to become something bad.’
‘No, you go to hell. Derek.’
It was increasing, I don’t know how to react on his questions. Till the end of February his trouble was too much. Soon the date first march approached with our Annual exams. I was still facing the problem of Derek, also I wasn’t able to complain his name. He also trolled me on my speech and accent. I was controlling my anger a lot. In the whole March month, we were having a few vacations after the exams and gathering. Derek didn’t trouble and bullied me through the March month. The April month approached and I was happy that Derek declared his bullying. I went in the eighth grade. My all the stationary kit was new.
The first two days were attended joyfully for me because Derek was absent, but from Monday the real mess began. On Monday Derek was present, but hopefully he didn’t trouble me and I also didn’t let him bully.
From the next day that happened which shouldn’t be expected from anyone else who is listening my story. Derek started me bullying with double power than the first and 12 days passed. He was continuously bullying me, but finally I removed out a temporary solution to avoid meetings. This solution now was helping me a lot, and slowly the April month somehow passed away and my summer vacation journey began. After 40 days of vacation and trips, I finally removed out a permanent solution of Derek’s bullying. It was step- wise solution, perfect to Derek.
The time slowly passed away and my school was re-opened after the summer vacations. I was excited to apply the trick on Derek and finish his bullying. I entered inside my classroom and saw Derek. He said me that:
‘Hey Andrew, how are you. Tell me that your house has a door? Everyone who listened to this sentence beside us started laughing anyhow. I didn’t understand it. I was too tired of his bullying now. I was about to declare myself, the trick wasn’t working. Everything was hacked, I thought that I’ll somehow free myself from Derek. I remembered all those moments when I sat first time with Derek and how he starts bullying me.
The June month was also finished, but not the Derek’s unwanted bullying. I wasn’t uttering a word from my mouth when he used to start bullying. I was tired within myself, this time I properly used my trick and finally oh lord!
I finally free myself from Derek. Now he is not talking a single word with me. I gave him a warning of complain and he leaved myself from his trouble. I felt like I’m in a heaven. I felt like I had too loss, but the truth was different.
After few days when the bullying stopped, I realized that I’m totally become different than the past ones. I stopped the bad behavior of myself, I was able to generate good speech. I was silent before and now I’m talkative and extrovert. I was totally different and smart than the first ones. This all was due to Derek, yes the same guy who bullied and troubled me a lot. He left both his trouble and good values.
Thus, the moral suggests us that every bully is not only made to trouble us, some are also made to improve us with the most minimum loss they give. Every problem in our life is also same, not made the trouble, but made for something within ourselves need to be improved.
‘Wow, you rocked on the stage Andrew. A rocking storytelling performance by Andrew.’ Prakash said with a huge amount of claps on Andrew.
‘Did you know Mr. Prakash that it’s a real story.’ Andrew said with emotions in his eyes.
‘You faced a lot and listen to my story. This will definitely make you feel better.’
‘Yes, let’s go Mr. Prakash.’
‘This was the time when I was in the eighth grade in my school. This story is based on my brain and truly real so please listen to it with your kind attendance. I was studying in secondary school in Buldana, Maharashtra, India. I have just arrived in the eighth grade it was June month when my school was also just re-opened after the vacations. I felt happy to complete back the school tasks and go through the routine.
After the school I used to play some cricket with my friends. I was a crazy cricket fan. In India, there is the most famous game comes cricket. I used to play it every evening with a lot of attention. Slowly, I started playing it vigorously. The satisfaction made me very pro in the game. I was doing my all good in the study and sports. The problem was that sometimes I used to lag behind or my mission used to fail sometimes. I thought that I’m an unlucky person that I lag behind in the difficult and main situations.
I wasn’t understanding that why is this happening. I should have the winning approach and I should lag those behind, but why only I was back. Something always unexpected was happening with me and I become upset due to those. In my school, I asked my friend.
‘Atharva, with me always there is something unexpecting errors that cause a high loss. Anyhow, I’ve to take control on them. If not, then I’ll be always back, and in problems.’
‘Don’t know how? The responsible is your brain, your brain can remove the solution of this problem is your brain creates it.’
‘Reverse gear, my life should have a reverse gear back. This may help me.’
I began to have control on my brain and finally I removed out a solution. It’s due to I’ve noticed that what I’m thinking is never happening, but what I’m ignoring that’s always happening. I should be aware. For example, If I’m walking through the road, and I thought that my friend will definitely meet me on this road, but instead of that a car splashed water on me and I become wet!
This was an unknown phrase of my brain, I started to have a control on it. I was feeling very happy with the controls of my brain in my hand. This much happiness a scientist wouldn’t have on his patent, that happiness I received.
I used to think of problems in my way and that would definitely wouldn’t come. I used to never think of the good ones. If I thought good, then something bad was going to happen with me. There was my one more friend, Kavya. That time we weren’t friends, but used to watch each other. My friend Samarth had my meeting first time with her. I came near her.
‘Who is that respectful person, I’ve seen him before many times.’ Kavya said with a lot of respect against me. She said it tenderly and we did handshake.
‘He is your senior.’ Samarth said.
‘Yeah, I’m in your school, in eighth grade.’
‘Oh! Good to see you. Would you play with us?’ Kavya said with counting the participants.
‘No, I’m having some work now. So I have to go home and study. You play, better I’ll play next time.’ I said and indirectly went from there.
I felt so happy after that for a few more days. She talked to me tenderly, I still remember her voice. The voice was floating inside me all over. I soon, started to chat with her, and slowly we become friends.
Then, my life started to grow and I started to gain myself using my brain. In the world only 1% people clearly know how to use their brains properly. I started to succeed and grow and I reached at this stage. I came to Australia in the year 2009, and settled here for the job. My marriage happened in 2006. My life was done; I still consider myself a holy person to lead high. I read the book ‘Think rich and grow. I applied the formula on my life.’
‘See this story is greater than mine. Using your brain, I never started.’ Andrew said clapping on the story.
‘Come let’s start with the next upcoming story from your side. I’m excited to listen it.’
‘What should I speak now? I’m excited to hear something, not tell.’
‘I think that we should have a break time now.’
‘Yes, Mr. Prakash you are true. Sometimes you need to do effort and sometimes not. I still have the experience of doing all the efforts.’
‘Let’s have a cup of tea, it’s evening time now.’
‘Let’s have it. Tell me once that how you actually met Kavya.’
‘It’s due to my friend Samarth, if he wasn’t there I never meet her, never removed out my worries. I remember when she used to speak with me, I used to forget the worries.’
‘Yes, true. Where is she right now?
‘She is in Australia only. Working in Perth and is a doctor.’
‘Good to listen about such a person. Now where are we? I think so Alice Springs is still very far.’
‘Yes, I think so.’
Soon after few minutes the daylight started turning into the night. Slowly It was night and from desert it was looking very clearly.
Soon the light finished and there was completely dark outside. Andrew and Prakash were sitting on their berths. Andrew was watching out the reels in his phone and Prakash was reading the books.
‘Andrew, our last story is remaining from your side, have you think about it? Else this will be a late considered.’
‘No, what should I think about now. I don’t know.’
‘Think about your family, about your life and remove out something special.’
‘Then you want to listen it, I’ve suggest one.’
‘Yes, come let’s go.’
‘It’s about my uncle Cooper, who lives in Alice Springs. Where I’m going now, It’s about him. Between me and him.’
I saw my uncle first time when I was 11 years old. My uncle usually doesn’t used to come at my house. He arrived because there was an event. I just started to talk with him. I said to him about my life. He was very efficient in speaking and I supported his way. My aunt Agatha also was like him. The same kind, but uncle doesn’t used to talk much while Aunt used to talk.
I started talking with him soon, I discovered my own Uncle and I find a way thorough which my all concentration will go on my uncle. Then I talked with him for that event and said him about the upcoming technologies which can approach you.
‘By the way, you are not talking much and you are a smart person. You did that always which you like. You always answered my every question and you always made me feel proud.’
‘Yes, it’s my duty, I always respect to the rules and duty.’
‘Oh, so where are you living?
‘I’m living in Alice Springs. You come at my house, you’ll enjoy there. I guarantee.’
‘Thank You, I’ll definitely try to come there. We will enjoy.’
‘Yeah, we will go to Yulara. It’s not far from there.’
‘I’ll come with my both granny and grandpa.’
‘Yes, you should definitely come there.’
After that I tried to reach my Cooper Uncle’s house, but every time my plan was flopped. My all the childhood went in Perth. Today Finally after 12 years. I’m going to my uncle’s house forgetting all about my unsuccessful tries which I faced to come here due to very far distance. My uncle is 88 years old now. I very happy to arrive his home.
This was a short story which I told you about my Uncle.
‘You are correct; our relatives should always be near to us. We can easily complete the tasks then.’ Mr. Prakash said hastily.
‘I tried to spoke just about my uncle. These emotions can’t be end.’
‘Come, let’s have the dinner now.’
‘Yeah it’s 8:23 now.’
‘When we will reach Alice Springs?
‘At 6 in the morning.’
They both happily had the dinner for the night and both of them arranged their berths and slept on it. The morning evoked with a powerful sunstrokes of the desert. Prakash wake up and saw that Alice Springs had arrived. Andrew was about to left the seat.
‘Are you going?
‘Yes, I’m going to enjoy my life. I felt happy with you. We both also enjoyed a lot.’
‘Yes I know that, take care of yourself and enjoy with your Uncle. Don’t remember any worry as I told you.’
‘Probably, I’m the winner of yesterday’s bet. Right?
‘Yes, you won the competition. Really, your story was better than mine.’
‘You also told best story.’
‘Yes, now go otherwise your station will be leaved.’
‘Sure, I’ll go. Bye, I’ll remember you Mr. Prakash.’
Andrew went from there with his bag saying it. He will enjoy now. Prakash also somehow reached Kalgoorlie after the sweet and delightful journey. He enjoyed his trip with Andrew and also learnt some good values of life. He will never forget Andrew throughout his lifetime.
31 July 2025
Prakash was in Darwin, he was reading a book of William Shakespeare and thought the ideas about being a writer. He also started writing a book after his train journey with Andrew. Someone knocked his door from out. Prakash went and opened the door and he saw that Kavya stood up there in front of him.
‘Kavya, you here?
‘Yes, how do you do?
‘I’m fine. I know that you are too humble woman. You’ve definitely came here for calling me for the trip from India. Right?
‘I thought that I should take to you also for the trip. We have planned a get together. I’ve specially come here to call you. Please come.’
‘Yes, I’m having vacations and I’ll definitely come, but with the permission of my wife Aradhya.’
‘Come fast then, we don’t have more time.’
‘Sure.’
‘Let’s go to India.’ Kavya screamed as Prakash locked and left the house.
