Bob Sehmi has over 30 years of corporate experience working with blue-chip companies in the UK,Europe and the Middle East, such as British Oxygen, John Laing Construction, the BG Group, KHD International, Dana Gas and Ma’aden. Bob is presently the Director of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) at El-Seif Engineering Contracting in Saudi Arabia.
Bob possesses unique qualifications as a chartered engineer (civil and structural engineering) and as a chartered management accountant with the Institute of Management Accountants (UK). Bob is a member of the Institute of Risk Managers (UK) and has an MBA from Henley Management College, an MSc degree from Imperial College London and a BSc in Civil Engineering.
Bob won the Corporate Risk Manager of the Year Award (Middle East) in 2015 and 2020 and was nominated on several other occasions. Bob lives between Dubai and Riyadh with his wife and three sons. He is an avid runner, swimmer and triathlete, having competed in several half marathons and triathlons. Bob is also the author of his first book ‘Bulletproof Your Business’.
