Bob Sehmi
Bob Sehmi has over 30 years of corporate experience working with blue-chip companies in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, such as British Oxygen, John Laing Construction, the BG Group, KHD International, Dana Gas and Ma’aden. He possesses unique qualifications as a chartered engineer (both civil and structural engineering) and as a chartered management accountant with the Institute of Management Accountants (UK). Bob is a member of the Institute of Risk Managers (UK) and has an MBA from Henley Management College, an MSc degree from Imperial College London and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi. Bob is presently the Director of Enterprise Risk Management with Ma’aden KSA.
Bob won the Corporate Risk Manager of the Year Award (Middle East) in 2015 and 2020 and was nominated on several other occasions. He has held several roles within corporate governance, risk management, internal controls, internal audit and insurance. Bob brings synergies to the multitude of internal processes within organizations to make them effective and efficient, adding considerable value to the business.
Bob lives between Dubai and Riyadh with his wife and three sons. He is an avid runner, swimmer and triathlete, having competed in several half marathons and triathlons.
