Punnaivanam Sankar, aged 62, was born and raised in Aruppukottai. He has a PhD in Chemistry and retired as a Professor of Chemistry at the Puducherry Technological University. He has written and published many research articles in chemistry during his teaching career. He has participated in many research seminars both domestically and abroad.
