Seema Punj is a Fine Arts teacher with a deep passion for writing. She aims to highlight the issues faced by women in society, especially the challenges a girl encounters after marriage. She believes that there should be open discussions on such topics in society.
Through her writing, she wants to convey the message that girls should not be defined merely by their beauty or appearance, but by their character and thoughts. She also wishes to teach girls that while it's important to respect the values and upbringing given by their parents, it is equally important to raise their voice when something wrong is happening in their lives.
The author also wants to send a message to parents that they should not put so much pressure on their children to be “well-cultured” that they end up tolerating injustice under that pressure.
Seema Punj wishes to make society understand that a daughter-in-law should also be considered a part of the family. If she makes a mistake, she should be guided like a daughter. She may not be as understanding as the rest of the in-laws, but instead of treating her harshly, it is better to explain things to her with love.
She believes that the relationship between husband and wife is the most precious one. According to her, both partners should understand each other so well that no third person should ever find space to come between them.
