Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalOh! LIGO…quivering with excitement!
The discovery of Gravitational Waves by the scientific and engineering marvel LIGO exactly hundred years after they were conceptualized by Einstein in his theory of ‘General Relativity’ is an epitome of human ingenuity, perception and perseverance. The upshot of the cataclysmically merger of two blackholes in a faraway world was the inception of Gravitational Waves that travelled through fabric of space-time continuum for more than one billion years without any hinderance and strikes LIGO with a ‘chirp’…sounds like a thrilling mystery! This book is an attempt to showcase this discovery to all those avid readers who finds it interesting and exhilarating.
[‘Frontières of Physics’ is a series exploring the cutting edge of physics and astronomy. With topics from Gravitational Waves to Neutrinos, Elementary Particles to Quantum Entanglement, Large Hadron Collider to James Web Space Telescope, these are books for popular science readers and admirers of physics who like to delve deep into these memorable discoveries.]
