Before the Dawn

Author Name: Samir Diwan | Format: Paperback | Genre : Literature & Fiction | Other Details

Every morning begins with sunlight, tea, and the rustle of a newspaper. But behind the headlines lies a world few dare to confront.

Set against the evolving landscape of Raipur, Before  the Dawn follows Anoop — a journalist caught between conscience and career, memory and modernity. Raised in a home rich with tradition, poetry, and resilience, he inherits stories of courage from his grandparents — survival against death, dignity against power. Yet in the newsroom, truth is bartered, headlines are negotiated, and morality is often sacrificed at the altar of profit.

As political unrest brews, labour protests erupt, bombs shatter cities, and corporate interests tighten their grip on the press, Anoop must confront a haunting question: What is the price of truth?

A deeply reflective and emotionally layered novel, this is not merely a story of journalism — it is a story of identity, integrity, and the silent battles fought within.

When the sun rises each day, it brings hope.

But what happens when the light exposes more than we are prepared to see?
