Pulleri Amma is the pseudonym of Kalpana Abhijith - an architect by profession and a writer by passion. She currently lives in Mumbai with her sailor husband and two opinionated and headstrong daughters, both aspiring writers. Inspired by her mother’s encouragement, she has been writing short stories and poems since her school days. She hasn’t lived in any house for more than 5 years at a stretch right from her childhood. And all these experiences - places she has been to and people she met - have inspired her stories and poems. She loves the challenge of writing a short story where the entire narrative needs to be expressed in limited words while generating interest in the mind of the reader from start to finish without becoming predictable.
