Balram J Nair

Born in Delhi with roots in Kerala, Balram J Nair—known as Buddha—grew up beside a dog pound, where his gift for handling troubled dogs was discovered early. Though he pursued an MBA and an 18-year corporate career with Citigroup and Tata, his heart never left the animals he rescued and trained. Now based in the UAE, with 30+ years of experience, Buddha is often called the “last resort” for extreme cases. Beyond his profession, he personally shelters, feeds, and cares for more than 50 rescued animals—devoting much of his life and income to their well-being. His mission: restore balance between dogs and humans, one relationship at a time.
