Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalTo describe this book in its namesake—in a few words—is the kind of irony it seeks to capture. Parted into four phases of life that are familiarly complicated, this anthology is a consolidation of fleeting thoughts, hidden desires, painful denials, and unexplored possibilities. These reflections live within the moments of search, love, angst, and passing, unfolding with a quiet curiosity to understand each more deeply. While it does not seek to feel complete, it hopes to invite the unfinished versions of the reader to find respite amidst the constant chase we call daily life. In a Few Words is a book built on memories and anchored in discovery. Its resolution is an allowance to be.

Perennially searching and cautiously understanding, Shreya is on a loud journey of exploration. Shreya was born in Chennai, lives in Mumbai, studied in Los Angeles, and worked in New York. She graduated with a degree in economics and gender studies and has worked in both the social sector as well as in management consulting. In this breadth, she is often finding herself caught between inherited dogmas while shaping her own. She finds freedom in poetry and relishes in its allowances while performing at open mics across the world. Having lived in these cities, Shreya is, undeniably, a city girl, with a love for the hustle etched into her soul. Currently working in the development sector, she hopes to one day build bridges between introspection and action—using words, work, and will to make meaning in the world.
