Tiju Mundakappalli hails from Kaipattoor, a small village in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, India. He completed his primary and secondary education in Pathanamthitta and pursued higher studies in Bangalore and Coimbatore. Currently, he is employed in Kuwait. He first began writing short stories for local publications during his college years. His debut book, A Short Vacation of a Donkey, was written specifically for children.
