Nithiyan Nathan was born in Naranthanai village in Jaffna, Eelam (Ceylon) island near South India.  As a teenager, he developed an interest in philosophy.  He came to London to study engineering. However, his philosophical interest was continuously growing in his inner mind, and eventually this influenced him to discontinue his engineering degree.

He began to travel worldwide and engaged in voluntary social services. All the while, he was searching for knowledge and philosophical answers to many questions.
He had a wider academic interest.  He studied mathematics, science, engineering, technology, astronomy, and social science subjects, largely sociology, economics, political theories, social psychology, social anthropology and so on.
He deeply studied Tamil philosophy and Greek philosophy.  He is fascinated with the Theory of Knowledge.

After nearly ten years of his philosophical journey, he returned to England to study philosophy as a major subject in his social science degree. He graduated and then followed MSc in Information Technology and became a consultant. After retirement, he began his philosophical writing.
