Govindprasad Shyamlal Kushwaha (b.1944) academic, writer and poet, the former Head Department of English and P.G centre in-charge at Municipal Arts and Science College, Mehsana, Gujarat, He taught English Language and Literature to Graduate, Post-Graduate and M. Phil, students for about Thirty three years. Nine scholars received their Ph.D. degree under his supervision. He is a multifaceted person who presented live telecasts on TV (DTH lessons) in English. He has eight volumes to his credit published out of which five are of English poetry. He has been honoured with Golden Badge Award in recognition of exhibiting his literary brilliance par global standards jointly awarded by Motivational Strips (Oman) world’s most active writers’ forum and endorsed by Gujarat Sahitya Academy Gujarat - world’s premier literary institution- on the auspicious occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day.
He has Received Queen Zenobia Prize for World Culture awarded by ICFHC, Syria. He has been honoured by Rabindra Nath Tagore Memorial Certificate Award of Literary Appreciation for his literary contributions equalling World Literary standards and criteria set by Motivational Strips and editorial Board of SIPAY, department of Culture Government of Seychelles.He received the distinct Awards from various International Poetic Groups like those Nigeria (GWWC) for the awards of ‘Global Leadership,’ ‘Anatomy Writers Award’ ‘Global Recognition Award,’ and from (WLFPH) Bhutan, received the ‘Certificate Ambassador of Peace’ and the Certificate of Commendation.
