Dr. Oscar Bragança De Melo is a passionate educator, lifelong learner, and storyteller at heart. Currently Professor of Commerce at St. Xavier’s College, Goa, he has inspired students for nearly three decades, not just with concepts, but through stories that spark insight and transformation.
Born into a family of dedicated teachers, Dr. De Melo sees teaching not as a profession, but a sacred inheritance. Over the years, he discovered a truth that shaped his approach: people are not moved by cold facts or figures; they are moved by meaning. And stories, he realized, are how we connect. He lives by the belief that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
A PhD holder, he is also a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA) and a Company Secretary (CS). His academic journey includes ten Master’s degrees, four postgraduate diplomas, and over 70 certifications from global MOOC platforms such as edX, Coursera, and FutureLearn—including courses from Harvard, Stanford, and MIT.
Through his non-monetized YouTube channel, he shares weekly stories under the banner of H.O.P.E.—Helping Others Pursue Excellence—a mission now evolved into something simpler: Helping One Person Every Day. Because sometimes, changing one life is impact enough.
