Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalPrime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi was assassinated at 9.10 am on 31st October 1984 in her Official Residence No.1 Safdarjung Road, New Delhi by her own trusted body-guards. Sub-Inspector Beant Singh made an about-turn, advanced few steps towards the approaching Prime Minister, took out his Service revolver from the dab and fired at her injecting 5 bullets into her body on the left side. Constable Satwant Singh standing near his Sentry-booth straightaway raised his sten-gun and pumped 25 bullets on her right side thus virtually rippling her body into two havles.
